Hong Kong and Beyond

Hong Kong.....The land of many noodles and tall buildings. We arrived today a little jetlaggy and dehydrated from the loooonnnng flight, but were ready to escape the airport and hit the town. On the flight, Chrissy won the "Screentime Award" with a total of three movies and two TV series, and Sierra won the "Concrete Eyelids Award" for sleeping eleven hours straight without movement. We just got off the ancient railway train that ascends the super-steep jungle hillside above the city and are now roughing it in an internet-like cafe sipping lattes and eating fine chocolate delicacies. We're all a bit whupped but I think a nice noodle lunch will revive us.......though we had a nice noodle breakfast at 9:00am. Tyler won the "Bad Meal Choice Award" by ordering a steaming bowl of bland macaroni-ish elbows burbling in a clear broth with a thin slice of "lunchmeat" and a fried egg. It looked kinda nasty and the look on his face whilst eating it made the award an easy win for him. We will be heading back to the airport soon, to take a Dragon Air flight to Kathmandu via Bangladesh. The adventure continues....stay tuned.

  2. Nice, Ty. That sounds really disgusting, but then again pretty much all authentic Asian food sounds disgusting to me.

    Chrissy - baller.

  3. Praying for you all & looking forward to more stories of the adventure. Looks like since you've arrived, there's been no time to post. I'm hoping that's for only really good reasons! Love, Terry

  4. Happy California New Year!! Your house burned down...but all is well! Just kidding, everything is going great! Sierra, Oreo does not leave your bed, he misses you SO MUCH! He even growls at me when I have to tell him its time to go outside :( Molly is joyful and very strong...we tried a walk...tried.

Praying for all of you! Remember, Newbies, just say "No" to street samosas. May the Lord bless you all in ways beyond our understanding. - Amelia
